Gender-based Violence, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence (Wales) Bill : Stage 1

As a retired social worker, I would like the committee to use the opportunity presented by this bill to outlaw the physical punishment of children. The links to physical punishment and later perpetration of domestic abuse make it an essential part of preventing violence in the home. The law can lead public attitudes, not just respond to attitudes and changes have been effective in other countries. Thank you for giving this issue consideration.
